Noah Crosson

Noah Crosson – Omega 7/8 Lead Teacher

Noah grew up on a small family farm in WNC where he developed a strong appreciation for agriculture and the environment. At UNC Chapel Hill Noah conducted research in Chile, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil, studying natural resources, indigenous communities, and successful agriculture communities.

In 2013 Noah began his teaching journey with the FoodCorps/Americorps program in California, teaching K-12 gardening and nutrition. After working in agriculture and natural resources he became a long term sub for an 8th grade biology class at the local middle school, and found his calling: working with adolescents and teens to explore the natural world around them. In 2016 Noah enrolled at UC Davis to gain his Masters in Education. Since then Noah has taught science, agriculture, forestry, seminars, and math.

What drives Noah is to give students meaningful, interactive experiences that blend movement, joy, teamwork, rigor, and the natural world. Noah is thrilled to be part of the Rainbow Community School team that prioritizes teaching to the whole person.
