Twice a year, our eighth graders come together wit Twice a year, our eighth graders come together with our first graders to partake in a sweet rite of passage called the Rose Ceremony. In the fall, first graders cross a bridge on our playground and are greeted by an eighth grader who presents them with a rose to welcome them to grade school.

At the end of the school year, our graduates cross the same bridge and are met by a first grader who presents them with a rose to congratulate them on completing their educational journey at Rainbow Community School and Omega Middle School and to wish them well on their journey to high school.

Moments of pause and connection like this offer students opportunities to celebrate and honor growth in themselves and each other.
