Shasta Morgan – Business Manager

Shasta’s journey of formal education led her throughout the state of West Virginia and multiple countries in Africa where she studied subjects such as Sustainable Development & Ethics, ultimately earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She began working as a private contracted finance manager in 2012 and has had the opportunity to gain experience in a number of different industries from education to construction and even non-profit cemeteries. 

After settling down in east TN, Shasta opened a Montessori-inspired outdoor preschool to pursue a passion for small business and a desire to provide a non-traditional place for children to grow and embrace nature. Once Peaceful Playtimes grew to be a thriving community for children and their families, she began seeking new opportunities for growth and adventure, leading her to a Finance Manager role at Spruce Pine Montessori School. 

Shasta is dedicated to life-long learning, earning credentials such as a Forest School Director Certificate from Southern Adventist University and a Nonprofit Finance: Toolkit for Leaders Certificate from Kellogg University. Beyond formal coursework, she enjoys gaining perspective through reading and pushing herself to try new things. She is honored to become a part of Rainbow Community School and to have the opportunity to put her experience to work serving the mission.
