It's always a highlight when Bali, our Director of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging drops into the classroom to lead an activity.

Today, Bali spent the morning with our 2nd graders where their lesson focused on inclusivity, not just about letting everyone join in, but also ensuring that everyone can participate, too. After reading "Giraffes Can't Dance," they discussed how the party in the book could have been more inclusive for the main character. Then, students worked together and designed their own inclusive parties! One group created ziplines for all ages, plus swings for those scared of heights, while another offered physical activities for those who felt a need to move their bodies, plus a music box and a petting zoo for a more relaxed experience.

We are so thankful to Bali for bringing real life equity lessons to life in our classrooms every day and increasing our capacity for understanding each other and the world around us. 🌈🌟🌈

Rainbow creativity in action!

Our spring arts extravaganza- IMAGINE!- is just weeks away and campus is buzzing with preparations. In addition to many talented performers, Imagine wouldn't be possible without the hard work and creativity of our set design crew who are bringing the stage to life one brushstroke at a time! In collaboration with our amazing art teacher, @kate_chassner , middle school students enrolled in our set design elective are transforming imagination into scenery for the big performance!

We can't wait to see all of the elements come together for the Imagine! performance, featuring performances by students from every grade- Preschool though 8th! 🌟
