Maddie Barton – Green Door Preschool Assistant

With a strong belief in the importance of early childhood development, Maddie is passionate about creating a nurturing and supportive environment where young children feel safe, valued, and understood. She emphasizes building meaningful relationships with each child, recognizing that connection is the foundation for learning and growth. Maddie is committed to helping children thrive during these critical early years by fostering curiosity, confidence, and kindness in every classroom interaction.

Maddie is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. She moved to Asheville in 2018 to attend UNC Asheville. She has a background in photography and enjoys using both art and nature as tools to build meaningful relationships and inspire exploration in the classroom. When she’s not in the classroom, Maddie loves spending time outdoors and working on creative projects.
