Oh, the places they'll go! On Friday afternoon, w Oh, the places they'll go!

On Friday afternoon, we celebrated the incredible learning journey that our kindergarten through third grade students have completed this year. The lower division graduation ceremony began with a centering and some parting words of wisdom from our Omega Middle School graduates, who read Dr. Suess's "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" to the children. Then, each child had an opportunity to share a highlight of their school year. This sweet tradition builds as students move up in the grades, culminating in speeches by the time they graduate eight grade.

These young learners are off to great places and we look forward to seeing all the ways in which they will grow!

Evolving Play-Based Learning to Project-Based Lear Evolving Play-Based Learning to Project-Based Learning

In the elementary years, students are still encouraged to learn through play, and their world expands to include more advanced and structured hands-on learning opportunities. Students crave opportunities to solve problems independently and embrace the social nature of project-based learning.

In May, our fourth graders worked hard to create their very first Personal Interest Projects (PIP). Students learned to formulate guiding questions, research their topics, and create slideshow presentations to share their knowledge with the class. Students also engaged in experiential learning as part of their research and a creative component to share as part of their presentations. This learning project is the foundational experience upon which they will build their research and presentation skills for future PIP projects they will do every year through middle school, culminating in a formal presentation on stage as eighth graders!

Congratulations to our littlest students on comple Congratulations to our littlest students on completing a year of learning and growing together! Preschool graduation was full of pure joy as we celebrated our older preschoolers who are transitioning to kindergarten and our younger preschoolers who are stepping into postition as the "bigger" kids in our preschool program.

We hope you enjoy these few images that capture some of the joy and sweetness of our preschool graduation. We are so proud of how much these students have grown!

The theme of this school year has been "Celebratin The theme of this school year has been "Celebrating Our Stories" and we are grateful to our friend and Business Sponsor, Rene Treece at @luxehousephotographic for her partnership and the beautiful ways in which her art helps us to share the story of Rainbow with you.

Rene is a gifted photographer and tells stories through her lens. Alongside portrait work, she creates fine art prints that are heirloom quality—pieces meant to last for generations and to grace the walls of homes as reflections of love, connection, and belonging. Rene's work extends into encaustic fine art and narrative projects that explore archetype, emotion, and community. She also offers branding photography that captures the passion and dedication behind a person’s craft or business, supporting creatives, small businesses, and organizations in showcasing their gifts with authenticity and artistry. At the heart of it all is Rene's belief that photography has the power to connect us, celebrate us, and affirm our place in the world.

We hope you enjoy this mix of Rene's portrait work and the branding work she has done for our school!
