We've made some exciting changes to our campus while you were away...

Our facilities team, teachers, staff, and administrators have been hard at work to renew and repurpose some of our campus spaces. We are so happy to unveil and share these sneak peeks at our new dedicated art room and look forward to filling this space with student creativity and art exploration. Six more days to go!

One week to go... the 2025-26 school year is right around the corner!

Teachers and staff are back on campus for seven days of planning, collaboration, and training in preparation for the first day of school. Yesterday, we traveled to Camp Grier in Old Fort for our annual faculty retreat. We spent the day rooting ourselves in our mission and core values through collaborative exercises centered around this year's theme of "Celebrating Our Stories". It was a day filled with joy, vulnerability, storytelling, song, team-building, and connection. We closed out the day with fellowship by (and in) the lake and a shared dinner together.

Countdown to the start of the 2025-26 school year - 12 days to go!

Today we welcomed our new teachers to campus to onboard them at our annual new teacher orientation. These newest additions to our teaching staff spent their day with our leadership team learning about Rainbow's Core values such as our mission and vision, the Rainbow Seven Domains (TM) model, and our commitments to equity, cultivating a culture of kindness, and using non-violent communication.

We have enjoyed our time today with this amazing group of educators and we are excited for the energy they bring to our community.

With seven exciting weeks of summer camp behind us and a new school year starting soon, it is time to share some love and appreciation for our beloved Summer Camp and After School Director, Susan Waddell!

Since she was hired as an Omega Middle School teacher in 2005, Susan has gifted our school with her passion for teaching and for the deep connections that she builds and maintains with students, families, and staff. While Susan has been called to share her gifts as an educator beyond the classrooms and programming here at Rainbow Community School, she will always be a beloved and valued member of our community.
