It is Dungeons and Dragons week for our imaginative 4th-8th grade campers!

These kids are sharpening their critical thinking, problem-solving, and story-telling skills as they collaborate with one another to advance their characters through the magical realms and story lines their dungeon leaders have created for them. Extended care for this camp has included additional DnD sessions, water play, and even Japanese lessons - wow!

How do you close out Arts Exploration Camp with a bang? With a marimba concert!

In addition to exploring different styles of visual art, campers this week spent time engaged in rich music experiences with our retired music teacher, Sue Ford. Throughout the week campers engaged in group songs and were invited to bring their own instruments to demonstrate their talents. Sharing her love of marimba with young people is Sue's superpower and this was the main focus of the musical component of Arts Exploration Camp. What a magical experience for all!

Arts Exploration campers have been busy this week building ceramic vases, adding layers of contrasting glaze, and carving into those layers to create decorative designs on their pottery. We can't wait to see their final creations!
