Headmaster Merit Scholar
Congratulations to Rainbow Mountain 8th grade student, Conor Stuart-Roe. After a rigorous application process, Conor Stuart-Roe has been chosen for the prestigious Headmaster’s Award at Christ School, a boy’s boarding prep school in South Asheville, where he will be attending high school. Conor is an exceptionally gifted scholar. He will graduate from Rainbow with high school credit in Algebra 1, Algebra II, and Geometry, as well as accomplishments other subjects. He has been in the Duke Gifted and Talented program since sixth grade. The application process for the Headmaster’s Award involved multiple steps including essay, interviews, and panel discussions. All of the finalists for the awards showed high academic promise, but Conor really stood out from the crowd when it came to discussions. Typical of students who have been educated at Rainbow, Conor displayed confidence and mature communication skills. He contributed to discussions more than the other finalists and had quality, profound remarks. Congratulations, Conor! We are very proud of you!
