Lauren Levine – First Grade Lead Teacher

Lauren has been a part of Rainbow Community School since 2017. She spent nine years nurturing confident and creative learners as a lead preschool teacher before stepping into the first grade classroom in 2026.

Lauren’s background in Montessori education guides her in fostering independence, intrinsic motivation and compassion in the classroom. She uses her background in Zoology and molecular biology to enrich the environment with scientific discovery and wonder, helping children make meaningful connections and instill a love for learning. Lauren brings a deep passion for hands-on and place-based learning, encouraging students to explore the natural world with curiosity and care.

With a Master’s in Early Childhood Education and specialized training in the Orton Gillingham approach to teach literacy, she supports every child in becoming an accomplished learner who feels empowered and successful. Her classroom is a nurturing space where young learners grow with confidence and creativity, while feeling supported by their teachers, classmates and community.

Beyond the classroom, Lauren is an avid hiker and proud mom of two sons who also attend Rainbow Community School. She loves spending time outdoors with her family and her dog, Luna, sharing adventures that fuel her love for learning and the world around her.
