Lissadell Greene – Student Support Advocate

Lissadell came to Rainbow in 2021 from Portland, Oregon. She began her teaching career in 2001 as an elementary music teacher in the New Orleans public school system. After hurricane Katrina and the birth of her first child she started her own preschool in Austin, Texas. Four years later, she also became the director of her own Music Together center. Lissadell returned to New Orleans and began working at a Reggio school where she was inspired to earn her Master’s degree from Portland State University in Constructivism and infant/toddler mental health. She is also trained by the Key School here in Asheville in the Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Structured Language Approach.

Lissadell connects deeply with children, forming trusting relationships and providing individualized support. She is so happy to be a part of the Rainbow Community.
