Shannon Casson – Green Door Preschool Assistant

Shannon spent 12 years as an Instructional Assistant in Asheville City Schools before transitioning to Rainbow. During this time, she has focused on helping young children learn to read and write. She also has experience working with high needs students.

Shannon grew up in Tennessee, but in 2001, she moved to Asheville and made it her home. She and her husband Mark raised their son in Asheville and continue to record, write, and perform music together as The Cheeksters.

Shannon has a background in English Literature and is excited to bring her enthusiasm for teaching to the young learners at Rainbow Community School.
