Kevin has a diverse math and physics background and was on an industrial engineering path before he pivoted into teaching. He is excited to be joining the Omega team. Kevin clarifies for his students that math is more than fractions and Y-intercepts; it is a tool that extends far beyond the classroom. He believes deeply in promoting math confidence and developing a shared understanding that everyone can succeed in math. Just like growing any sport or skill, he designs a classroom where students can practice their foundational understanding and be challenged to extend their potential. Interestingly, he didn’t really fall in love with math until college, where he discovered the breadth and depth of mathematical exploration. Inspired by his own learning journey, he helps students experience the wonder, awe, and expansiveness of math.

Outside of the classroom, Kevin enjoys running, reading, boating, video games, spending time with his family, and playing sports such as ultimate frisbee, disc golf, and roller hockey.
