What Sets Us Apart

A blended approach focused on the whole child

The Rainbow Seven Domains™

Educational Programs

Holistic Education

At Rainbow Community School in Asheville, NC, holistic education means nurturing the whole child through an approach that connects academic learning with creativity, personal growth, and community. Our blended approach brings together strong academics, experiential learning, creativity, connection, and social-emotional development through an integrated curriculum designed around how children learn and grow.

At the heart of this approach are the Rainbow Seven Domains™: Mental, Physical, Natural, Social, Emotional, Creative, and Spiritual. Rather than treating these as separate parts of a child’s education, we integrate them throughout the learning experience. A lesson may engage the mind through inquiry, the body through movement, creativity through expression, and community through collaboration.

This holistic model gives children multiple ways to discover their strengths, stretch into new areas, and make meaningful connections across subjects and experiences. The result is an education that develops not only capable students, but confident, curious, compassionate human beings.
