Safety first! Last Friday our middle schoolers were offered the option to take a CPR class and they ALL wanted in! Shout out to The Resusci-Taters CPR and First Aid Instruction (@tater_cpr) for providing them with this valuable experience. We have enjoyed partnering with them for safety trainings this fall!

Late summer/early autumn is a magical time for our Kindergarten Mariposa class!

Our kindergarten class has been spending a lot of time learning through the natural domain. They are studying the life cycle of butterflies by observing monarch caterpillars in their classroom garden and logging their observations in their journals. Their classroom schedule and location offers the children rich opportunities for spending ample time outdoors for guided lessons, projects, play, and exploration. They have been busy looking for autumn colors, finding secret notes in the garden, building fairy houses, and more... truly magical!

"I am a pizza!" Our second graders completed the

"I am a pizza!"

Our second graders completed the "All About Me" portion of their first thematic unit, "All About Me and My Community", with a pizza-themed celebration. Each child created a Mia Pizza display inside a pizza box. Their personal pizzas were comprised of four collaged pizza slices, representing different aspects of themselves: Identity, Family, Likes, and Goals. Students presented their Mia Pizzas to their families on Friday, coupled with a special lunch of hand made pizzas cooked on site in a portable outdoor pizza oven. Yum!
