Sunshine is an Asheville native and attended Rainbow Community School for twelve years, from preschool through eighth grade. Sunshine has committed to working with youth through various summer camp programs since high school. The Seven Domains™ have remained a guiding force for Sunshine. She is a mixed media artist with special interests in sculpture, ceramics, and painting/drawing. Sunshine has a passion for exploring the intersectionality between the development of individual identity and the fostering of collective action. She uses this specifically as an inspiration for her art and work with youth.

Additionally, she has been playing Ultimate Frisbee for twelve years, beginning with her first experiences in fifth grade at RCS. In the fall of 2024 Sunshine happily returned to her Rainbow family as the 5th grade Assistant Teacher.  Sunshine enjoys sharing her creativity and energy with students.
