Our first graders have been learning about number bonds and we recently found them gleefully engaged in number bond hopscotch, followed by a race around our new sidewalks... joyfully combining the mental and physical domains of learning!

Our fourth grade class is deeply immersed in their botany unit, learning about photosynthesis and plant parts, creating botanical art, sipping freshly harvested herbal teas, planning garden beds, and prepping the soil! We can't wait to see what their gardens will grow!

Today our Omega 7/8 students engaged in a fun pick Today our Omega 7/8 students engaged in a fun pickling experiment. Students researched pickle recipes and then created recipes of their own. These recipes were used to pickle cucumbers as a control and then to pickle other items of their choosing. Some recipes including very interesting ingredients, such as Sour Patch Kids, root beer, and hot sauce! This learning experience had them fully immersed in the scientific method and collaborative problem-solving.

Essential to the adolescent years, our middle school program ensures that student autonomy is nurtured, student passions are celebrated, and young people are reinforced in their own ability to work through difficulty and challenge. This culture of guided independence is strengthened by the depth of relationship fostered between the students and their teachers.
