Danaé Aicher – Equity Director
Danaé first joined the Rainbow family as a parent, seeking a more stimulating and engaging learning environment for her son. She says her professional and community work led her to also working at Rainbow Community School as the Equity Director.
Career and Experience
Her career trajectory has taken her from a political journalist to political operative to a social/racial justice educator. Currently she serves as Co-Chair of Building Bridges of Asheville and as National Director of Communications of Mocha Moms, Inc. Here at Rainbow, her focus will be on keeping everyone spiritually connected to each other and the broader community by expanding Rainbow’s commitment to equity and inclusion. She aims to do this while keeping the Rainbow community socially connected to each other as well as the broader community.
Danaé is a lifelong student of history, having received her degree from the University of South Florida. She also loves to travel and credits that wanderlust for how she met her husband, Christian. Together they live with their two children (both Rainbow students) in Hendersonville.
